How carGuardian works
No app, no remote, no extra tag on your keyring. A private code on the buttons your car already has. Even with a cloned key, the engine refuses to crank without it.

No, and it shouldn’t. Trackers find the car after it’s gone. carGuardian stops it leaving in the first place. Most customers run both — tracker for recovery, carGuardian for prevention.
You ring our support line. We verify your identity (the same way your bank does — ID + a code we sent on install) and walk you through a recovery PIN. Then we help you set a new one over the phone. Average call: under five minutes.
No. carGuardian is non-destructive — no cut wires, no soldered taps. A certified installer can remove it without trace and your factory warranty stays intact.
No. Flatbed theft bypasses any electronic immobiliser — that’s your tracker’s job. carGuardian + your existing tracker is the layered answer.
carGuardian sits alongside established SA PIN immobilisers — with three independent auth methods (PIN, encrypted keyfob, smartphone app) and a CAN-bus install most prior-generation units don’t match. Once-off, no monthly fee ever.
Not yet. We launch Q3 2026 with no signed insurer discount against carGuardian specifically. GotYou Telematics is an approved telematics provider with major SA underwriters; we’ll publish broker-confirmed insurers as they sign. Until then, keep your current cover.
